A brief description of the members of the JbT Porcupine Family©
There are currently four accessories in this range - all my own design - using a unique method (using standard glass-headed pins) of fastening onto the lace pillow which ensures a firm attachment and no need to fish around for central pin-holes.
- Porcupine Pincushion: Firmly stuffed with raw fleece - preferred by lace makers - making pins easier to use and assisting in preventing rust.
Priced by base size and wood cost. - Porcupine Pin-Pot: Featuring an ultra-smooth interior and threaded lid (which can be fastened to your pillow while you work) - will hold a substantial number of pins. These require exacting turning skills and great attention to detail which greatly increases turning time.
- Porcupine Pillow Bowl: An open-topped wooden bowl with an ultra-smooth interior which will hold pins, pusher thimbles or other small things while you are working.
Priced according to base size. - Porcupine Thread Tidy: The latest addition to the Porcupine family - this fastens on to the pillow in the same manner as its siblings, and will hold your thread safe while you are filling bobbins or working.

All the Porcupine Lacemaking Accessories© are made individually by me, without the use of a copy lathe or automated equipment. Each is carefully prepared, turned and finished, and all are absolutely unique.
Any other pincushion, pin-pot, pillow bowl or thread tidy which is held on to the pillow by the same means of using pins through the exterior of the base are copies of my original design. If you come across them at any time, I would be very interested to hear about them!
