My aim is a positive buying experience for the customer, and a positive selling experience for me. I work hard to deliver a high quality product to you in perfect. I expect the same standard of decent behaviour from my customer.


Payment is by Paypal Express or Bank Transfer. As I develop the store, other options for payment may become available.

Returning Goods

With some exceptions (listed below) if you are not entirely satisfied with your products, you are entitled to return them at any time from placing the order up to 7 days from delivery. You must notify us in writing of your cancellation of order, and the cost for returning the goods will be your responsibility.

The goods must be returned undamaged in their original wrapping so that they can be resold and you will receive a full refund, excluding postage costs, within 30 days of their return. Goods which have been incorporated into other goods, or undergone further processing by the customer cannot be returned.


Refunds are not allowed on socks (for hygiene reasons), nor on downloadable products.

All items listed for sale in the Excess Craft Materials section are Sold As Is and cannot be returned and will not be refunded. These items are all from my own personal stock which I am now downsizing. No returns/refunds on these items, so please read the description and view the photos (which form part of the description) very carefully.

Specimens from my late husband Rick Turner's mineral and book collection offered under the section called Rick's Rox are sold As Is. I will do my best to photograph and describe them accurately but accept no responsibility if errors are discovered later. Study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description. (See more info regarding the minerals and images lower down.)

Inappropriate Refunds or chargebacks

We are happy to refund for an item which is returned in compliancewith the terms set out under 'Returning Goods'.  That is fair practice. We take a dim view of people who try to defraud or cheat us for any reason and will not hesitate to use any court deemed suitable to seek redress and claim back funds which should be rightfully ours, including all associated costs/fees and including additional compensation for the inconvenience, emotional and otherwise, if we have to go that route.

Damaged/Missing Goods

We use either Hermes or Royal Mail to deliver our packages for us. Which service we use is entirely up to the buyer and is selected as an option during checkout.

Please read and understand the shipping terms you will be bound by when you accept the Terms and Conditions during checkout and when opening an account:

Shipping is charged at actual cost plus a small amount to cover the cost of the packaging I use. It is calculated based on the combined weight of the goods in the basket when you check out, and you are offered a number of different appropriate options which cover local as well as international delivery. Unlike other online stores, the shipping costs are added before you get to the payment stage, and there are no handling or small order fees.

I do not make a profit from shipping, and if the actual cost of p&p when the item is sent is less than what you have paid, I refund the difference.

There is no free shipping in my store. The concept of Free Shipping is a lie believed only by those who are too lazy or impatient to discover the real cost of what they buy. The fact is the individual items that are offered with so called free shipping are price-loaded to cover the cost of shipping just one item and you are seldom if ever refunded the extra money you pay for the privilege - in fact platforms like eBay and Etsy which endorse the Free Shipping concept advise sellers to price-load and enjoy the additional profit that comes from it.

Not in my store... You get charged a fair and honest price.

How are items sent?  That is entirely up to you and where you live. The options available are:

UK - Hermes - no compensation or refund if item is non-delivered or damaged for any reason

UK - Royal Mail 1st Class

UK - RM 1st Signed For - up to £50 compensation

Europe - Royal Mail International - no compensation

Europe - RM International Tracked

USA - RM International Tracked

Rest of World - RM International Tracked


While Hermes may be cheaper, it is nigh on impossible to achieve compensation when things go wrong, so if you choose this option and things do go wrong for whatever reason - I am not responsible and will not refund, replace or compensate for any loss with respect to lost/stolen/damaged/mis-delivered/undelivered goods. When you agree to my Terms and Conditions when you place an order - you agree to these terms.

The same goes for standard Royal Mail International post. Again - RM and the other country mail services pass the buck back and forth, and I am no longer prepared to accept responsibility  for nor  pay out for their failings, so if you choose this option and things do go wrong for whatever reason - I am not responsible and will not refund, replace or compensate for any loss with respect to  lost/stolen/damaged/mis-delivered/undelivered goods. When you agree to my Terms and Conditions when you place an order - you agree to these terms.

For any other service I will do my best to help you sort things out but am not responsible for the failings of the postal service that is used.

Do not accept any package if it appears damaged in any way, and please notify us within 7 days of delivery if you have refused the package, or if items are missing from the package.

We would recommend signing for any package as 'unexamined' and in the event of a claim against the courier, you may have to answer queries from them as we do not accept responsibility for compensation.

Prices and VAT

As I am not VAT registered - there is no VAT on the products offered in this store. Prices are in GBPounds £ and any currency conversion will be carried out by your card provider.

Items out of Stock

Please understand that I list my hand made goods in more than one place and I also take my stock to fairs/table sales. This means that at times, stock listed in my webshop may get out synch with that which is physically in my baskets. Also I am human, and I make mistakes and forget things, and so I reserve the right to offer you a full refund/cancel a sale if I find that the stock you have purchased is no longer available. I will do my best to make sure this doesn't even happen, but things do go wrong from time to time and I ask for your understanding if this ever happens.

Discounts and Made to Order

I do not offer discounts, I do not sell to trade, nor do I take orders for goods. What is offered on my website is what I make and have to sell. I do not buy in to resell.

Product Advice

Whilst we are happy to give advice on our products and their use, we cannot accept responsibility or liability as conditions of use are beyond our control.

Sock Sizing

Please measure your foot length accurately and allow for the fact that some people have thinner feet than others - this affects how the socks will fit. Generally the sock size in my shop and UK shoe size will be close enough that this works for sizing, however there is tremendous variation in even UK sizing in the shoes on sale in the country. The most reliable method is to measure the length of your foot in cm and then buy the socks that match. If you have particularly wide or swollen feet, buy one size up - they will shorten in length as they stretch widthways. Similarly, if you have particularly slender feet, buy one size smaller as the socks will narrow slightly as they stretch lengthwise. If you are worried - please send me an email and ask. I will always try to help.

Turned Items

Please note that all my items are hand made, and the finishes will vary depending on the item and my mood on the day I made it. Some finishes will be suitable for use with food, but most will not. If a finish is suitable for use with food, it will be described as such in the listing (for example for a salad bowl or a purpose made sweetie box). ALL other finishes should be presumed non-food safe. I accept no responsibility for loss/injury/damage if a piece is misused. The same goes for items which have fine finials on them. Finial have sharp points which can damage eyes etc - keep these items away from those who will not treat them with the respect and correct handling that they should. Miniatures are not intended for children to play with - they present a chocking hazard. Keep them away from children. These are intended for adults only.


The photographs on this web site are as accurate to actual product colours as possible, however due to different screen settings and resolutions it is impossible for these to be 100% accurate. No photograph is manipulated, artificially enhanced or edited in any way other than straightforward cropping, sizing, light balance and very basic colour balance adjustment (for those taken under yellow light) to get the photo as close to the real thing as possible. Where possible, white paper will be included in photos in order to allow automatic white balance when taking the images. The above is particularly true when it comes to the photos of Rick's Rocks. I am not out to cheat anyone. If you are worried, just don't buy.

Mineral Identities/Localities Labelling

Rick was the mineral fundi in the family. I am listing his specimens using the information as shown on the boxes and stored within his mineral collection catalogue. I accept zero responsibility if a mineral is incorrectly labelled in any way. Rick bought collections from other people and then checked the specimens before adding them to his own collection. I have no idea which are which so there may still be nice surprises waiting for someone as I list the collection bit by bit.

Overseas Orders

Please note that an extra charge may be levied as import duty or other taxes for products shipped outside the UK. These charges, or any other issues as a result of import legislation are the responsibility of the purchaser.
