Beads, Baubles & Twisties
Hand made by Jean About 55 years ago my grandparents travelled from South Africa to Europe on a grand tour. One of their stops was a lampworking shop in Murano, Italy, There, they watched a man blow and shape a glass lady which my grandfather bought and brought home. I have admired her in the display cabinet all my life, longing to bend hot glass like that myself. I told Rick this story about 12 years ago while watching someone blow glass at a bead fair and he immediately bought me the basic kit to have a go for myself. While I am not at dancing lady standard yet, I do enjoy working with the hot glass. This is a hobby that pays for itself.
